About Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc.
Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc. ("Symbiotic") is a Canadian company based in Alberta, working on commercializing its advanced modular photo-bioreactor technology developed for cultivating microalgae in temperate and adverse climatic conditions.
Symbiotic engineered a system of easily deployable photo-bioreactor modules for cultivating microalgae to produce biomass for use in the production of renewable biofuel and other high demand, high value co-products.
The system is designed for cultivating algae in regions around the globe where it is the pervailing belief that erratic climate and various other prohibitive factors would make these regions unfavourable for algae cultivation. The system utilizes wastewater, waste heat, CO2 and other waste streams emitted from industrial and agricultural processes as inputs, towards the goal of achieving a net negative carbon demand.
Symbiotic's Algae Cultivation System, ACS™ overcomes the limitations of first generation photo-bioreactor technologies, unlocking the ability to co-locate algae cultivation activities in extremely hot, moderate or cold climates, close to waste emitters regardless of their geographic local, effectively enabling utilization and "monetization" of non productive waste from across a broad sector of industries in the production of renewable energy.
