Art is the founder of Symbiotic EnviroTek Inc. He has a lengthy background as a red seal certified heavy equipment technician who for a number of years, worked on designing, building and repairing oilfield equipment. He also has over twenty years business management experience. His experiences derived from many years building oilfield equipment and his strong understanding of mechanical and integrated process engineering was the impetus for his designing the Mac-B™ system. Art is also the holder of the Mac-B™ patent publication.
Dr. Ross is responsible for research and development activities. He obtained his BSc and PhD in Biochemistry from McGill University (Montreal, QC). He brings a wealth of hands-on experience and knowledge to Symbiotic, derived from twenty years as a researcher at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) conducting research in the fields of applied microbiology, enzymology, hemicellulytic enzymes, cancer research, fish disease and nutrition, shellfish biology and algal toxins. Dr. Grenier, is an Optics Expert, Research Scientist with the Institut National d'Optique (INO), with specialization in physics, wave mixing spectroscopy, laser diode beam collimation and characterization, coherent terahertz radiation for far-infrared spectroscopy, medical product development, etc. He has authored, co-authored more than 28 technical publications in optronic systems for wide industrial applications. Dr. Grenier is the lead Scientist in charge of technological development of submersible LED light for Symbiotic.
Dr. Ajele is a heat transfer specialist. He has been an engineering consultant for over 20 years, with experience in teaching, research & development, manufacturing, management and consulting. Prior to his current position, he was the Engineering Manager at Dura-Lite Heat Transfer Products Ltd, Calgary Canada, a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers for medium and heavy duty diesel engine vehicles for transportation, industrial and agricultural sectors. Dr. Ajele earned a PhD in mechanical engineering with specialization in heat transfer from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now DalTech), Halifax NS Canada.
Jeremy has over 15 years of process and industrial automation engineering experience. He currently works for JMP Engineering, a leading automation integration company, based out of their Calgary office. He is responsible for the overall electrical, instrumentation, and automation engineering design of Symbiotic’s products.
Stan’s role is to study pathways for life cycle assessment of Symbiotic’s algae cultivation system and deliver Symbiotic’s message of being a strong advocate for pursuing alternative strategies and innovative solutions to address pressing global needs. Read more →
